No, it is not rated as water-resistant. Based on our experience, light spray for a short duration should be manageable.
The fluid head is not resistant to exposure to salty spray. If exposed, use a cloth moistened with fresh water to thoroughly wipe down the fluid head. Ensuring timely maintenance after exposure to salt spray will help preserve the functionality and extend the lifespan of your equipment.

If exposed to very fine dust, it will be okay. However, if exposed to sand, it should be cleaned before use; otherwise, the lock system might be affected.
No, it doesn't. Unlike those simple fluid heads which do not have a complicated pan drag setting, T8 has its pan drag module in the half ball so it can not be taken off from the head. So it does not work with some sliders the same way as fluid heads like Manfrotto heads. It needs to be coupled with a heavy duty slider the same way Sachtler fluid heads do through an adapter.
Clean the fluid head regularly using a soft cloth. For heavier dirt use a soft brush and a mild detergent. Regular inspections are not required.
